Dr. David McGloin

Dr. David McGloin is a Reader in Physics and Associate Dean of Research within the School of Engineering, Physics and Mathematics. He is also the Director of the Physics and Life Sciences Laboratory (the PaLS Lab), which is focussed on interdisciplinary research and technology development. His work involves the development of biophysical and biophotonics tools such as optical manipulation, super resolution microscopy, microfluidics and Raman spectroscopy, all of which have a role to play in future AMR studies. He is currently interested in developing a Raman microscopy approach to understanding compound permeability into (and efflux from) gram-negative bacteria
