Dr Charis Marwick is a Clinical Senior Lecturer in Population Health and Consultant Physician in Infectious Diseases. Her research and clinical interests are in antimicrobial use and resistance, and improving the way we use antimicrobials. She has a particular focus on using routine healthcare data for infection epidemiology and intervention design and evaluation. She is Clinical Lead for the NHS Scotland Infection Intelligence Platform (IIP), member of the Scottish Antimicrobial Prescribing Group and chair of the 2016 Scottish CDI Guideline Development Group. Dr. Charis Marwick is a Senior Clinical Academic Fellow in Population Health Sciences and Consultant in Infectious Diseases and General Medicine at the University of Dundee and NHS Tayside. Her research into the epidemiology of infections, particularly Clostridium difficile infection, antimicrobial use and antimicrobial resistance generates and evaluates evidence to support changes in policy and practice, and evaluates the impact of changes in policy, often involving health informatics.
